It’s almost game time, bleachers full of people and Mr. Patterson walks in the gymnasium with his fly style and of course with his camera.
Making his way to the top of the bleachers, the buzzer goes off for the Junior Varsity game to be over. Now it’s time for point guard, Chasity Patterson and the Lady Mustangs to put on a show. Chasity is the one of the best point guards for girls’ basketball in the country.
Playing since she was just a few feet tall, she is now committed to University of Texas to continue her basketball career and education at a higher level.
“It’s a blessing” Chasity Patterson said.“It’s a dream come true to be able to play at the next level.”
However, before Chasity goes off to play in college, she has one more year to

leave her mark on the North Shore Girls Basketball program. As for herself, her main goal this year is to take her team back to the state tournament and win it.
On January 24, Chasity broke the 3,000-point milestone for her career with NSSH. She broke the 3,0 She is one of the state’s all-time leading scorers.
Just recently, Chasity has been selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American game in Chicago. She’s one of 24 girls selected out of the whole country! “It makes me feel blessed to know all my hard work is paying off,” Chasity said. “My dreams are becoming reality.”
Those dreams have been supported from those closest to her.
Mr. Patterson attends every single game Chasity plays.
He’s always at the top of the stands screaming with his camera ready to film her.
He’s known for his famous chant, “Yeeeee!” he screams as Chasity shoots the ball. Mr. Patterson is very supportive of her.
“He’s been a mentor for me all my life preparing me to be mentally strong and training me over the years,” Chasity said.
